Ecotherapy (nature therapy) is a wellness-based approach for participants to find peace, enthusiasm, and connection in the outdoors and improve both physical and mental health. Ecotherapy is based on the idea that people are connected to and impacted by the natural environment. These outdoor workshops use ecotherapy techniques which integrate nature with the experience of finding balance in our personal and professional lives. A recent research study in Mind, found that 95% of those interviewed said their mood improved after spending time outside, changing from depressed, stressed, and anxious to more calm and balanced. Meditation, art, journaling, and ritual will be utilized as options to increase self-discovery along the journey. There is a focus on each season, how nature mirrors the healing process, enhances creativity and how to integrate this wisdom into our lives.
Each ecotherapy workshop is designed to include has structured content on self-care, ethics, and professional problem-solving meaning 2-3 contact hours of CEU credit is available.
